About the event

Learn about the state of CSA in the States, through interviews and visits with many CSA farms throughout the nation as collected on an extensive journey undertaken by an outside voice: Ed Hamer, of Chagford CSA in England & the UK CSA Network.

Ed Hamer is co-founder and manager of Chagford CSA - a 10-acre CSA farm supplying 140-shares/week to residents of Chagford and neighbouring parishes on the edge of Dartmoor, England. In the fall of 2023, Ed received funding to conduct a 10-week road-trip across the U.S.A. to visit CSA farms and evaluate the contrast in the growth and development of the model compared to the United Kingdom. This webinar will hear Ed present the initial findings and answer questions on his research trip - as well as contrasts in CSA models between the U.S. and the UK, which he's developed a perspective on through delivering CSA start-up courses through the UK CSA Network.
